Last year more than 200 female-led teams battled it out to create solutions for some of Pakistan’s most pressing developmental challenges. We’re proud to announce that we are back with a new edition of the Built By Her Hackathon.
Built By Her 2021 is bigger and better! This time around female-led teams from Sindh and Balochistan will be tasked with creating solutions that tackle;
• Women Economic Inclusion
• Accessibility to Education
• Climate Change
• Tourism
The challenges are bigger but so is the prize! 3 teams will win seed money worth USD 5,000 each.

- When does the hackathon take place?
This is a 48 hour long hackathon taking place from the 8th to the 10th of October. - How does the hackathon work?
Teams will be assigned tasks during the duration of the competition that they must complete in the given time frame. - Who can participate?
This is a team-based hackathon for females between the ages of 18 and 35 from Sindh and Balochistan. However, 30% of the team can be made up of male participants. - Do you have to be a coder/programmer to participate?
No, the best thing about Built By Her 2021 is that we will be conducting workshops before the hackathon to help participants prepare. - Do you have to be a student to participate?
No, the hackathon is open to all eligible participants as long as they are passionate about creating a positive impact. - What type of solutions are we looking for?
The solution can be web based, mobile app based, desktop based or hardware based (IoT).
