Marvel Studios’ “Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings” Is Coming To A Theater Near You On September 3, And If The Official Teaser Is To Be Trusted, The Movie Will Feature A Lot Of BMW Products, Some Of Which Are Going To Get Destroyed. Early in the teaser, we see one of the characters exit a red BMW 8-Series Coupe, and behind it is an updated 7-Series luxury sedan. Later, we see an action-packed out-of-control bus scene, which will apparently result in multiple i8 plug-in hybrid sports cars getting destroyed. This is quite interesting, seeing as we can’t remember Marvel decimating that many Audis during their initial partnership.

Yet, BMW doesn’t seem to have a problem with a bit of carnage directed their way, as long as it’s for a good cause—such as a really cool action sequence. By the way, you’ll see some more BMWs get hurt in the upcoming Black Widow movie, which is coming out this summer on July 9, nearly two months ahead of Shang-Chi.

So, what’s this latest movie about? Well, it’s centered around the character Shang-Chi, also known as the Master of Kung Fu within the Marvel Comics universe. Think Iron Fist but arguably a little more skilled in hand-to-hand combat, although not necessarily more powerful—Iron Fist does have a secret weapon at his disposal, let’s not forget.

For this live-action adaptation, the character of Shang-Chi will be played by Chinese-Canadian actor Simu Liu, while Destin Daniel Cretton will direct the movie. The premise is pretty simple: “When Shang-Chi is drawn into the clandestine Ten Rings organization, he is forced to confront the past he thought he left behind.” One thing you can bet on is that you’ll get to see a lot of spectacular martial arts sequences, and when the characters aren’t busy battling each other the old-fashioned way, they might crash into a BMW or two.
