The annual online career week 2021 organized by the OCLP at the University of Management and Technology (UMT) has started.
The annual online career week 2021 organized by the Office of Corporate Linkages and Placements (OCLP) at the University of Management and Technology (UMT) has started and will continue till Saturday.
In view of Corona, Career Week 2021 was organized online which was inaugurated by Director OCLP UMT Khalid Naqi along with his team.
More than 30 National and International companies, including Coca-Cola, Jazz (Mobilink), Nestle, Commerce and Accountancy, Health Sciences, Business and Finance and Agriculture participated online (Zoom) in Career Week 2021.
More than 5,000 students visited Career Week at various times on Zoom and Facebook Live where company representatives interviewed students for jobs and reviewed their abilities in respective fields. Internships, various workshops were also conducted.
President UMT Ibrahim Hassan Murad congratulated Director OCLP and his team on the successful Career Week and said in his message that UMT is basically the best academic institution for preparing future business leaders.
This Career Week would also provide excellent job opportunities for graduates; he added.
Expressing his views on the occasion, Director OCLP Khalid Naqi expressed that the purpose of taking the industries on board is to make the students aware about the mechanisms, practical work experience &a requirements of the industries.
He also said that Career Week 2021 would be beneficial not only for UMT students but also for students all over Pakistan. All students can learn about their future world of work.
