A new Redmi MAX TV is set to launch in China on February 25th, alongside the Redmi K40 series. The Xiaomi sub-brand has confirmed the launch of a brand new Redmi TV through a teaser image.

While the promotional image hasn’t revealed anything about the Redmi TV specifications, it could be a direct successor to the one that was launch last year.

The upcoming TV may have AI-related features and a massive display large size, similar to its predecessor. To recall, Redmi MAX TV (2020) specs included a 98-inch 4K display, touchscreen panel, and an immersive audio experience with Dolby sound and DTS-HD panoramic audio.

Redmi MAX 98-inch TV specifications

Redmi MAX flaunts a 98-inch 4K display with a 192 percent dynamic backlight and supports local dimming and HDR technology. Redmi MAX also supports the MEMC motion compensation feature and has 85 percent NTSC.

It is equipped with 20+ image quality tuning technology. It is powered by a 12nm quad-camera 64-bit processor paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.

The smart TV boots Android TV-based Patchwall OS and ports onboard include 3 HDMI, 2 USB, AV Input, S/PDIF ports. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.2 low consumption and WiFi 802.11ac. The Redmi MAX also supports Dolby sound and DTS-HD panoramic audio.

The Redmi MAX 98-inch price in China was set at RMB 19,999 (approx Rs 2,15,200) when it was launched last year. We can expect the successor to be priced on similar lines and it may be limited to the Chinese market only. We expect to learn more about the Redmi Max specifications during the launch event.
