VU’s Academic Activities As Per Schedule Despite 2nd Wave Of COVID-19

Fall 2020 semester activities inclusive of assessment and examinations will continue smoothly without any interruption all over Pakistan said by the Rector Virtual University Mr. Naeem Tariq. He said this while chairing a meeting at Virtual University Head Office.

He appreciated the University employees including academic staff and directorate of ICT in specific for providing seamless efforts during Spring 2020 semester when COVID-19 was at its peak. Virtual University not only continued their academic activities but also helped many other universities of Pakistan to build their online educational setup, he added. Based on continued efforts, it was decided in the meeting that examinations will be conducted according to the previously decided schedule via online Learning Management System. 

While addressing the meeting, Registrar VU, Dr. Mohsin Javed said that we have attained the highest number of admissions in the current session and we will continue to deliver quality education not only in Pakistan but all over the world. He said, education standard of Virtual university has been admired by Commonwealth of Learning Canada, Asian Association of Open Universities and many other international organizations.

He said, Virtual University is following the directions of Chancellor/President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi to disseminate education through digital learning platforms without hurdles across Pakistan. Federal Minster for IT and Telecom Syed, Amin ul Haq and Secretary IT and Telecom Shoaib Ahmed Siddique has deep insight in upholding the standard of education throughout the country.
