ABU DHABI, 2 November / WAM – Hub71, the global technology platform headquartered in Abu Dhabi, today announced that the latest batch of startups has joined the rapidly growing business community, as the new group includes a larger number of startups founded by businesswomen. These outstanding startups, which were selected from among hundreds of companies applying to join the platform, will benefit from the Hub71 incentive program, which provides them with lower costs of living and setting up for entrepreneurs to support them in their expansion efforts in the region.

19 new startups from 9 countries have been selected to join Hub71, operating in 11 sectors, including artificial intelligence and big data, agricultural technology and health technology. These sectors accounted for 30% of the requests Hub71 received to join them, reflecting the demand for these technologies in the context of dealing with the spread of the “Covid-19” epidemic in the world and supporting future digital industries, while the companies established by women constitute 30% of the group.
