Pakistan Successfully Scored $161.98 Million By Offering Its Top-Notch Information Technology Services To Different Countries.

Pakistan Information Technology Sector Scores $161.98 M

This shows a growth of 40.9% as compared to $114.960 million earned through the provision of services year-on-year, the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) reported today.

During the month, IT services grew by 35.11%, surging from $90.070 million last year to $121.690 million during July 2020.

Among the IT services, the exports of software consultancy services witnessed an increase of 13.48%c, from $34.036 million to $38.623 million while the export of hardware consultancy services however witnessed a decrease of 82.70%, from $237,000 to $41,000.

The export of repair and maintenance services also dropped by 84.19% from $329,000 to $52,000 while the export and import of software services witnessed an increase of 8.8%, from $30.618 million to $33.311 million.

Additionally, exports of other information technology services rose by 99.85% from $24.850 million to $49.663 million.

Meanwhile, the export of information services during the month under review increased by 161.54% by going up from $130,000 to $340,000.

Among these services, exports of information-related services also increased by 194.64%, from $56,000 to $165 only while the exports of other services also rose by 136.49%.

Sources also informed that the telecom services all contributed to a large extend. The BPO services increased by 25.8% and other related services also increased by 79% on a year-on-year basis.
