There have been great Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC already. Since launching, Nintendo has added Joker, Hero, Terry Bogart, Banjokazooie, Byleth, and Min-Min. As part of two Fighters Passes. Piranha Plant was also added as a free DLC. What’s next for the game after Fighters Pass 2?

It’s the last Fighters Pass

During his recent column at Famitsu, Super Smash Bros. creator Masahiko Sakurai talked about the future of DLCs for the game. He iterates that the current pipeline of DLCs for the game will already be the last. This means that once the five upcoming DLC characters are released, fans shouldn’t expect new ones anymore.

Concerning the development of the upcoming characters, Sakurai says that they are already in the works. The upcoming Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC will launch up until 2020, so players still have a long wait ahead of them.

There’s still a chance that we might see one or two more characters for the Fighters Pass this year.

Who do fans want to see?

The list of wanted Super Smash Bros. Ultimate future DLC characters is long. Fans mostly want to see some third-party characters join the fray. For fans, it was a surprise that Min-Min from ARMs got added to the game as they thought that Nintendo would only add guest characters.

When it comes to Nintendo characters, two that players have in mind are Waluigi and Geno. Fans have long requested these characters, but sadly, Nintendo’s only answer for them was turning them into spirits in the recent entry.

The wishlist grows considerably larger when it comes to third-party characters. Fans want to see Sora, Crash Bandicoot, Steve from Minecraft, and many others added to the game.

For now, it’s hard to guess who the next characters will be, but many are hoping that Nintendo listens to requests this time.

The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC reveals are some of the things that keep the community happy.

It might be months more before we see the next character gets revealed, so fans have to be patient. While it’s sad that there will no longer be new DLCs, it’s good that Nintendo is already focused on the next ones.
