Govt Pak allotted funds for PAEC in PNDP 2020-21.

The government of Pakistan has allotted a fund of over Rs. 23,297.437 million in Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2020-21 for 18 ongoing schemes and one new scheme of Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC).

The government of Pakistan has allotted Rs. 23,297.437 million in Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2020-21 for 18 ongoing schemes and one new scheme of Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC).

According to the PSDP, the government of Pakistan has also allotted Rs. 23,097.437 million for the ongoing schemes of the PAEC and Rs. 200 million for the single new scheme.

From the major ongoing schemes, Rs. 18,000 million has been designated for the purpose of investing in the “Karachi Coastal Power Project” of Unit 1 and 2.

Besides this, a amount equal to Rs. 1,500 million has also been reserved for the “Pakistan Research Reactor-3” which is 10MWth Upgradable to 20 MWth.

Also, Rs. 1,239.370 million are allocated for the “Upgradation of Atomic Energy Cancer Hospital-NORI” which is technically reffered to as AECH-NORI.

It is equally important to mention here that an amount of Rs. 600 million has been allocated for `National Electronics Complex of Pakistan (NECOP), NESCOM while Rs. 140 million has been reserved for the “Detailed Exploration of Uranium (Phase IX) Dera Ghazi Khan“.

Apart from this, an amount of Rs. 500 million for`Gujranwala Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Radiotherapy’ bases at Phase-II, Rs. 280 million for the “Gilgit Institute of Nuclear Medicine, Oncology and Radiotherapy” and Rs. 140 million for “Reconnaissance Survey of Mineral Resources”.

While, the single new project of ‘Detailed Exploration of Uranium Resources in Bannu Basin and Kohat Plateau (Phase-IV) received an allocation of Rs. 200 million.
