Gomal University organizing online defence for M.Phil students

Two students of Gomal University successfully defended their M.Phil thesis during online defence specially organized by the University administration.

Gomal University organizing online defence for M.Phil studentsThis action would be taken to save the precious time of students as per the directives issued by the of Higher education Commission (HEC) to all universities either to switch to online classes or abandon the ongoing semester due to the wake of the uncertain situation during Coronavirus lockdown.

HEC Chairman Dr. Tariq Banuri informed earlier if lockdown restrictions are extended  till early June, universities can return in routine as usual. But if there are further delays, there will be no options other than starting online education or suspending the current semester.

Official Gomal University said in issued statement that Sadaf Jabeen of English department and Ramsha Zahra of Gomal Center of Bio-Chemistry and Bio-Technology (GCBB) defended their M.Phil thesis online due to closing of educational institutions aiming Coronavirus pandemic.

Official further stated that supervisors Mohammad Arif and Dr Faiqa, Dean of Faculty of Arts Professor Dr Naimatullah Babar and Directors GCBB Dr Badar attended the defence online as part of precautionary measures in the wake of Coronavirus pandemic.

Vince Chancellor (VC) Gomal University felicitated the two students on their achievement and wished them best of luck in future.

The two students expressed gratitude to VC and university administration for arranging online defence and saving their time and also thanked their teachers and parents for supporting them.
