Two day science exhibition will be start from 16th March science exhibition

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission, Space and Upper Research Commission (SUPARCO), National Centre for Physics, National University of Science and Technology, Lahore University of Management Science and COMSATS University Islamabad is organizing science exhibition at Pak-China Friend­ship Centre Islamabad.

Official foreign ministry shared details with media about the exhibition that the exhibition will be open for the all public from 1pm to 5pm on March 16, 2020 and from 10am to 5pm on March 17, 2020.

The opening session will be held on 16th March 2020 in which exclusively only for invitation card holder. The opening ceremony will be addressed by the Foreign Minister and Dr. Ata ur Rahman as the Keynote speaker besides the chief guest.

A panel discussion on “Advancement of Science in Pakistan: Opportunities and Challenges for Science as a Driver for Development”, will be held on the 2nd day of the event from 12:00 hrs to 13:45 hrs. Minister for Planning Mr. Asad Umer, Chairman HEC, Dr. Tariq Banuri, former Chairman PAEC Anser Pervez, Pro Rector NUST Dr. Nassar Ikram, Department of Physics LUMS Dr. Muhammad Sabieh Anwar and C.E.O. Tabad Lab Musharraf Zaidi will be the Panelists of discussion.

The exhibition will exhibit achievements of Pakistan in Science, Technology and Innovation (STI), discover markets for Pakistani technology products and improve Pakistan’s competitive edge in trade.

The two day event will involve exhibits/stalls showcasing efforts of Pakistan to harness STI for socio economic development. It will bring together government, scientific organizations, and major universities of Pakistan, diplomats, and media under one umbrella to display new frontiers of science diplomacy.
