12 Pakistani universities came in top 500 for year 2020 according to THE magazine

London-based magazine Times Higher Education (THE) has listed the top 500 emerging Economies University Rankings for 2020. Amazingly 12 Pakistani universities have been came in the list of top 500.

12 Pakistani universities came in top 500 for year 2020 according to THE magazineQuaid-e-Azam University from Pakistan has been included in the top 100 universities by securing 85th position.

The list also included institutions from countries categorized by London Stock Exchange as modern developing, secondary emerging or frontier.

Apart from that, Government College University Lahore and the University of Sargodha are listed in the top 500-1000 Emerging Economies University Rankings.

According to THE magazine, universities have been ranked according to the criteria which includes certification, research, teaching, female to male ratio, industry income, number of students, number of students per staff, international outlook and number of international students.

THE is a weekly magazine based in London. It publishes news and happenings related to higher education. It is the top leading publication of the United Nations in its field.

Pakistani universities included in the list (with their ranks) are Quaid-e-Azam University (85), COMSATS University Islamabad (159), International Islamic University (201-250), University of Agriculture Faisalabad (251-300), Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) (251-300), National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) (251-300), University of Punjab (301-350), University of Engineering & Technology (UET) Lahore (351-400), University of Peshawar (351-400), Bahauddin Zakariya University (401-500), PMAS Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (401-500), and University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore (401-500).
