PASTIC in cooperation with UAF organizes STEM & IT expo

Pakistan Scientific and Technological Information Center (PASTIC)  in cooperation with the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) organized one-day exhibition on Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) and Information Technology  (IT) exhibition at expo center UAF.

PASTIC in cooperation with UAF organizes STEM & IT expoMore than 50 educational institutions from all over the province participated in expo with their innovative ideas. They presented 120 inventive projects at the expo.

STEM & IT expo was inaugurated by Punjab Excise and Taxation Minister Hafiz Mumtaz Ahmad, UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Ashraf and Faisalabad of Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Muhammad Sikander Azam.

UAF Director Research Dr Zahir Ahmad Zahir, PASTIC Director General Dr Muhammad Akram Shiekh, UAF Dean Social Sciences Dr Mahmood A Randhawa, Dean Food Sciences Dr Masood Sadiq Butt, UAF Principal Officer Estate Management Dr Qamar Bilal, Dr Abdul Rasheed, Dr Naveed, Dr Waseem Ahmad, Dr Khurram Zia, Farooq Hassan and others were also present on STEM & IT expo.

Hafiz Mumtaz Ahmad said that the government was devoted to support education and address the issues of a common man.

He said that such platform was essential to sharpen God given skills of students and provide them opportunity to think out of box and exhibit their skills.

He said that numerous initiatives were being taken on the part of government that will open up new avenue of progress for the country. He said that we have to work on polishing our innovative ideas to redress the grievances of farming community, general public, and industry.

Dr Muhammad Ashraf said that the Pakistan was blessed with talented youth who come up with innovative ideas. He said the provision of such proper platform will help the youth renew their skills that will contribute in the prosperity of the country.

Muhammad Sikander Azam stressed upon the scientists to address the issue of the industry for the development and prosperity. He said that it was excellent exhibitions to open the mind of the students for producing innovation in modern era.

Dr Muhammad Akram Shiekh said that one innovative idea can change lives. He said that we had to enhance the people engagement in the scientific activity and to communicating scientific advancement in the society. He said that they were bringing tangible measure for the said cause.
