The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences UVAS Lahore carried out One Health Day and arranged walk, seminar to create awareness among public about the importance of One Health in City Campus Lahore.
Vice Chancellor UVAS Prof Dr Masood Rabbani led the walk while Prof Dr Aneela Zameer Durrani and a large number of students from Vets Care Club society and faculty members participated in the walk.
Later a seminar was held, Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad chaired the seminar while guest speakers Dr Sajjad Naseer from Farooq Hospital highlighted about Animal Health in relation with Human Health, Mr Naeem from Brooke Hospital for Animals talked about Animal Health related with Animal Welfare and Ms Nadia Ayub from Environmental Consultant delivered a lecture on Animal Health in relation with Environment Health.
A number of students and faculty members of UVAS attended the seminar related to One Health Day.
Prof Dr Naseem Ahmad spoke on the occasion. He lauded the organizers to arrange such an informative seminar for the awareness of students and peoples. Prof Dr Anieela Zameer Durrani presented the vote of thanks at the end of the seminar.
The purpose of the activity was to highlight different aspects of health of human, animal and their interaction with environment.
