CEMS held seminar on Breast Cancer at UVAS

The Center for Emergency & Medical Services (CEMS) of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore (UVAS) in collaboration with Pink Ribbon Organization and Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital organised awareness walk and seminar on Breast Cancer with the theme of “Join Us To Know How To Prevent The Leading Cause Of Death Among Woman” in City Campus.

CEMS held seminar on Breast Cancer at UVASBreast cancer is by far the most common cancer in women. Pakistan has the largest rate of this cancer in Asia.

UVAS Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha chaired the seminar.

In seminar speakers inform the participants about the introduction, awareness prevention, management diagnosis and treatment of the breast cancer.

Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Masood Rabbani led the walk while UVAS Senior Tutor Prof Dr Kamran Ashraf, Prof Dr Muhammad Azam and number of students & faculty members were participated in walk.

The objective of the seminar was to create awareness among the general population especially woman who are prone to this virulent disease and also convey information to public regarding diagnostics method & treatment techniques and management of the patient etc.  

The seminar ended with leaving a huge impact on the participants of seminar. The realization of the seriousness of this disease was felt and the students were educated on detecting signs and symptoms of breast cancer on their own.
