Imran Khan hand over Pakistan Steel Mills to China

Prime Minister Pakistan Imran Khan has decided to hand over Pakistan Steel Mills with full administrative control to China for its restoration through government to government deal and discovering options to finance multi billion dollar railways Mainline during his upcoming visit of Beijing.

He said that the revival of Pakistan Steel Mills is a priority for the government as the mills suffered heavily due to the negligence of the past governments.

He informed in briefing session that Russian and Chinese companies have shown interest for the restoration of the steel mills.

Pakistan’s top leadership will give guarantees to the Chinese that CPEC (China Pakistan Economic Corridor) would not effected but its would be pursued with zeal in next phase despite passing through under the IMF programme.

According to his planed schedule visit of China on 7th October, the prime minister has decided to take up five issues for enhancing economic cooperation under CPEC. Pakistan will offer China to get Pakistan Steel Mills, finalize deal on modernization of ML-1, financing of Bunji hydro power project, agriculture and social sectors related projects in and outside the domain of CPEC.
