The Ministry of Science and Technology has sent request to cabinet division for the approval of panels consisting of three candidates for appointing the heads of six Scientific Institutions. The heads of the six institutions are expected to appointed soon.

MP1Scale delays appointing  heads of six scientific institutionsAccording to ministry, several months ago, the selection board, headed by a Dr Ishrat Hussain had completed the process of appointing the heads of six scientific institutions but was delayed in the name of MP1 scale or some related issues.

The Pakistan council of scientific and industrial research (PCSIR) consisting panel of three candidates for the post of Grade 22 includes Dr Shazad Alam, Dr Zabta Khan Shinwari and Dr Manzoor Hussain Somroo.

The Pakistan science foundation (PSF) includes Dr Fazal Ahmad Khalid, Dr Zabta Khan Shinwari and Dr Muhammad Aslam Yokali. Pakistan Council for Science and Technology (PCST) includes Dr Zabta Khan Shinwari, Dr Muhammad Aslam Yokali and Dr Manzoor Hussain somroo.

Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR) consisting panel of three candidates for the post of Grade 21 includes Dr Muhammad Ashraf, Dr Qaiser Mehmood Khan and Dr Muhammad Aslam Tahir.

The Pakistan National Accreditation Council (PNAC) includes Dr Ismat Gul Khattak, Dr Ali Abbas kazalbahish and Arfan Ahmad Rabbani. National Institute of Electronics (NIE) includes Arfan Ahmad Rabbani, Brg® Ashraf Masood and Brg ® Basharat Mehmood.

Capt (Retd) Nasim Nawaz, Secretary for Ministry of Science and Technology was also included in the selection board. He also trying to ensure that the panel comprising the candidates has been finalized should complete the process and institutions should get regular heads. So that their will their performance will improve.

The panels have been sent to the cabinets with the approval of Fawad Chaudary, Federal minister of science and technology.
