Huawei starts shipping Matebooks with Linux puts a lot of pressure on Microsoft. Still Huawei’s struggles with the US government cant ended.

Whereas, there is a risk that suspension will be extended again and again.There is also possibility that Huawei will no longer have access to Google’s Android and Microsoft’s Windows operating systems till December.

Huawei is working on replacing Harmony OS with Android in Smartphone.  While this operating system need a lot more improvements to run on the desktop. However, Linux readymade free OS is already available for the desktop.  Betanews gave information that Huawei has started selling their MateBook 13, MateBook 14, and MateBook X Pro running the OS in China.

The company is running under the Chinese branch of Debian named Deeping distribution.  They provide many open source and proprietary programs such as Google Chrome, Spotify and Steam. It also includes WPS Office, CodeWeavers’, CrossOver and software suite of applications developed by Deepin Technology.

There is chance that 2019 will be the year of Linux on the desktop, but if conflict continues companies may have little choice to delay in the feasibility of global operating systems but to look at less burdened options.
