CDWP approved seven projects worth Rs 10 billion

The Central Development Working Party (CDWP) allowed a total of seven development projects related to education, governance and energy worth Rs 10 billion aimed to perk up the nation’s progress.

CDWP approved seven projects worth Rs 10 billionWhilst, six projects valued at Rs 132.5 billion recommended to the Executive Committee of National Economic Council (ECNEC) for consideration related to science and technology, water resources, health, physical planning and housing, transport and communications.

The first project is about education sector named “Reconstruction of fully damaged School in Bara, Tribal District Khyber under Chinese Assistance” worth Rs. 2323.34 million. The second one approved by the committee is related to governance titled “Punjab Sustainable Development Goals” worth Rs.400 million.

The projects related to energy are “Construction of Deg-Out fall Hydel Power Station” worth Rs 2564 million and “Construction of Pakpattan Hydel Power Station Pakpattan Canal RD-114, Distt Pakpattan Punjab” worth Rs 1810.55 million, whilst another energy project is“Construction of Okara Hydel Power station LBDC-RD 199, Okara Punjab” worth Rs. 2490 million.

The sixth project titled “Capacity Building of Energy department for Under Taking Feasibility Studies and Construction of Hydel Power Station in Punjab” worth Rs. 388.55 million and the last project of energy on the matter “Feasibility Studies of Additional Five Hydel Power Stations in Punjab” worth Rs. 46 million was approved by CDWP.
