Wireless earbuds cause cancer & aural disorders

Wireless earbuds come up as an emerging technology, however, a new research has found that Apple’s wireless AirPods technology lead to cancer.

Scientists have warned that wireless technologies like Apple’s AirPods or Samsung Galaxy Buds pose potential health risks and can also lead to cancer.

Around 250 experts from over 40 countries have already signed a United Nations (UN) and World Health Organization (WHO) petition warning against the use of many different wireless devices, and calling for protection from the technology.

Researcher Joel Moskowitz explained that the AirPods, for instance, communicate with one another through a magnetic induction field – a variable magnetic field sent through brain to communicate with the other.

These wireless earphones harness Bluetooth technology, which itself is a type of electromagnetic frequency (EMF) radiowave, in order to transmit data to play music from a wearer’s device and directly to their ears.

One of the researchers Jerry Phillips told “My concern for AirPods is that their placement in the ear canal exposes tissues in the head to relatively high levels of radio-frequency radiation.”

The petition signed reads, “Based upon peer-reviewed, published research, we have serious concerns regarding the ubiquitous and increasing exposure to EMF generated by electric and wireless devices.”

The petition also mentions cancer, neurological disorders, and DNA damage as among the possible harms to EMF exposure. By not taking action, the WHO is failing to fulfill its role as the preeminent international public health agency.”
