Entrepreneurs, scientists and researchers from Pakistan are welcomed by the Chinese Government under the Torch Centre to visit National Indigenous Innovation Development Zones (NIIDs).

The Torch Center is a public entity directly lies under Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) China established in 1989. Mission of the Torch Center is to implement Torch Program to finance innovations by tech-based SMEs to improve the innovation environment for the promotion and development of tech-based industries.

“China is home to several international cosmopolitan cities which have intensely industrialized under the open policy framework of the current Chinese Government. In addition to Beijing, Shenzen, Guangzhou, and Shanghai, the Chinese government plans to develop Jinan, Nanjing, Hangzhou and Wuhan so as to distribute the benefits of its knowledge economy”, said Sayyed Paras Ali, Editor Technology Times, who is leading the delegation.

Pakistani delegation comprised of university faculty members, researchers and science media persons visited national new and high-tech industry development zones focused provinces of China.

In two-week long visit delegation visited National Indigenous Innovation Demonstration Zones (NIIDZs) in Jinan, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Wuhan, and Beijing which are the entrepreneurial hubs of different Chinese provinces. The delegation was shown tech-giants like Inspur, HK Vision, H3C and Bio-Club which are working to develop and successfully market hi-tech electronics, big data, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security and IoT systems as well as implementing Smart City projects across China.
