National Information Technology Board (NITB) signed MoU with Tech Valley Abbottabad to explore opportunities in converting MoIT’s vision of Accelerated Digitization into a reality.
This collaboration will promote full use of ICTs for an accelerated digitization ecosystem, aiming to expand the knowledge-based economy and socio-economic growth. The focus of this MoU includes conducting workshops for youth empowerment on various topics including but not limited to technology, entrepreneurship, innovation, leadership skills etc, said by Nasir A. Naqvi, Executive Director, NITB.
“We are excited to partner with NITB (National Information Technology Board) we can excel in 3Ts, travel, tourism & tech”, said Abbas on this occasion.
Tech Valley Abbottabad (TVA) is the first Abbottabad based Social Enterprise. TVA will design a capacity building program for government employees to build capacity in the following areas, Agile Product Development, User-Centered Research, Social Media Marketing and conduct workshops with NITB to generate ideas and collect problem statements from government departments.
With the technical expertise of TVA and NITB on the given subject, a consortium will be established to provide technical guidance to individuals working on government projects, students, entrepreneurs and incubatee s in designing user-interface.
This public-private collaboration will empower youth by promoting the culture entrepreneurship, innovation with the incorporation of technology.
On behalf of NITB, Faisal Ratyal, Director General NITB signed the MoU at NITB Office, Islamabad. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Muhammad Bilal Abbasi, Director (Consultancy & Advisory), Syed Khizar Ali Rizvi, Innovation Lead, Tech Valley, Dr. Iffat Zaffar, Co-Founder Sehat Kahani.
