He wrote, “In these circumstances, I cannot continue to work, therefore, I tender my resignation from the portfolio of minister of state for science and technology.”

Below is the text of his resignation:

Assalam-o-Alaikum,

On receipt of number of complaints from public representatives as well as general public of corruption, Ministry of Science & Technology discreet enquiry / investigation was ordered specially against NTS, COMSATS & PSQCA.

Few facts are narrated below for record.

  1. NTS (corruption and money laundering)
  2. COMSATS CIIT (Mismanagement, corruption)
  3. PSQCA (Irregular appointment of Director General, performance was not evaluated as per directives of the Prime Minister)

The National press also published many issues in this regard. In these circumstances I made up my mind to eradicate the menance from my Ministry inspite of pressures over me.

Furthermore, it shocked me that a full fledged Minister was given the portfolio of my Ministry just to stop my struggle against corruption.

In these circumstances, I cannot continue to work, therefore, I tender my resignation from portfolio of Minister of State of Ministry of Science & Technology.

With regards,

Yours sincerely,

Mir Dostain Khan Domki
