A seminar was organized on “Prospects of Agricultural Research (Current & Future)” by Punjab University Institute of Agricultural Sciences (IAGS).
PU Dean Faculty of Life Sciences Prof Dr. Muhammad Naeem Khan, Provincial Head of Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited Rao Abdul Munam Khan, Director IAGS Prof Dr. Muhammad Saleem Haider has attended the seminar along with others scientists from various research organizations, academia & agro-industries, and progressive farmers participated including Ms. Marwa Zafar from University of California, Davis, USA, Dr. Muhammad Arshad Javed from University of Technology & Management, Malaysia, Chairman Agronomic Research Board Sajid Iqbal Sandhu, Ayub from Agricultural Research Institute, Faisalabad, Dr. Muhammad Bilal Chattha Assistant Professor (Agronomy).
Dr. Muhammad Saleem Haider said that the scientists of IAGS were playing their role in resolving the problems of farmers so that benefit from the agricultural products could be for country as well as the nation. Ms. Marwa and other speakers shared their experiences on ongoing latest agricultural research across the world and in Pakistan. They gave different models to improve the Agriculture of Pakistan and do a comparison of Pakistani agriculture to modern world.
