STAFF REPORT KHI: Scientists of the Islamic world need to concentrate on research and development (RandD) to clinch the Nobel prize for their contribution towards science and technology, said prominent scientist and former federal minister Prof. Dr Atta-ur-Rahman. He was speaking at the recently held convocation ceremony of Commecs Institute of Business and Emerging Sciences (CIBES) where a number of students who did their BBA and MBA were awarded degrees.


Prof. Atta also urged the fresh graduates to strive hard in their practical life so as to achieve success in their profession and to become productive citizens of the country. He also advised them not to seek only jobs after graduation but try to become entrepreneurs so that may create jobs for their fellow citizens. The convocation ceremony was largely attended by the CIBES faculty members, educationists, business leaders and parents of the fresh graduates.Later, he conferred degrees upon fresh graduates and awarded medals to the students for their outstanding performance in the examinations. He felicitated the graduates and their parents.


Dean of CIBES, Dr M.M.A. Feeroze, in his welcome speech, highlighted the performance of the institute, while the CIBES Board of Governors chairman Irfan Nadeem congratulated the fresh graduates and their parents.
