STAFF REPORT ISB: The contributions of five famous Pakistani scientists in the field of literature is identified in the Science research paper of Imran Akhtar of Bahauddin Zakariya University, titled: “Pakistan ke namwar sciencedano ki adabi khidmat”.

 


The researcher has named about a dozen personalities but has reserved separate chapters for Dr. Salimuzzaman Siddiqui, Dr. Abdus Salam, and Dr. Anwar Nasim.

The relation of science and culture is found back in Sparta and Athens, centuries ago. The importance of science and literature is widely accepted from the history. Literature is often backed up by the science research or first hand information, but can also be fanciful flights of the imagination.

Imran Akhtar, the researcher from Bahauddin Zakaria University wrote that such peoples brain emits neither nominal or phenomenal knowledge, the geniuses use both approaches.

Discussing about Dr. Salimuzzaman Siddiqui, Dr. Farman Fatehpuri states that apart from being an FRS in Chemistry, Dr. Salimuzzan had great love for arts and painting.

Noble Laureate Dr. Abdus Salam is the second scientist in this book who had interest in literature as well. Dr. Nazir Ahmad writes, “I think that the heritage of Dr. Abdus Salam and the heritage of giving dignity to people should be kept up”.

The third person in the list is Dr. Anwar Nasim, who is the versatile human, dedicated charming literary scientist,with his vast contribution in literature and in the field of Biotechnology.
