STAFF REPORT ISB: Research methodology is an important area in which students require mentoring from aficionados; this was the motive behind the five-day workshop on the very subject organized by Islamic Research Institute (IRI) of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI).


The workshop provided ample knowledge to students in order to mollify their challenges incurred during research such as data collection, technical editing, writing styles, and formulating guidelines for dissertation writing, technical papers, academic books etc.


Technical sessions of the workshop equipped students with adequate research skills and hone their aptitude towards the research. The participants showed vivid interest by their active participation and involvement during those sessions and a healthy learning ambience was created.


IRI Director, Dr Muhammad Ziaul Haq apprised the participants about the objectives of the workshop during his speech in inaugural session. He said, “IIUI has always been a frontrunner in terms of boosting the research and improving the skills of students so to maximize the impact and produce eminent researches which are in compliance with the industrial needs”.


The inaugural ceremony of workshop was presided over by President IIUI, Dr Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh who extended his deep interest to promote scientific and technological research uplifting in Pakistan and making it more progressive in coming years through various initiatives of IIUI.
