STAFF REPORT RYK: The Government of Punjab has planned to set up Information Technology University at the expense of Rs. 3.84 billion. The purpose of establishing IT university in the region is to promote ICT education in under developed areas of Punjab and bring the human asset to the mainstream industrial channel. This has been proclaimed by the Education Minister Punjab as of late while tending to an appointment of University educators from Southern Punjab.


As indicated by the points of interest, the Information Technology University will set up in Rahim Yar Khan and will be named as Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Technology.


The university will offer 4-Year degree prgorammes to students in the field of Engineering, Information Technology and Information and Communication Technology. The pastor promised that the college will be moved up to offer experts and doctorate degree programs too later on.


The Punjab Government believes, “By the foundation of the college, understudies from Bahawalpur division would no more need to go far from their homes to get a decent quality advanced education”.
