Press Release: The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:


Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 35400 cusecs and Outflows 15000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 15100 cusecs and Outflows 15100 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 26500 cusecs and Outflows 30000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 17300 cusecs and Outflows 10300 cusecs.


Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 36700 cusecs and Outflows 30700 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 39200 cusecs and Outflows 35000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 32000 cusecs and Outflows 32000 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 21600 cusecs and Outflows 17100 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 55700 cusecs and Outflows 47100 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 47300 cusecs and Outflows 18200 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 19000 cusecs and Outflows Nil.


Reservoirs ( Level and Storage):


Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1500.17 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 3.804 million acre feet (MAF).


Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1210.80 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 5.090 MAF.


Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 648.00 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.240 MAF.


The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
