STAFF REPORT ISB: A joint workshop on cyber security was held in COMSATS to address the information and internet security issues by engaging experts and policy makers on one platform. The purpose of the workshop was to surface cooperation amongst developing countries to identify the loopholes in the cyber security perspective and jointly find out the solutions.


Senior official from COMSATS said during the inaugural session of workshop, “This workshop gives opportunity to scientists and experts to find out about the most recent headways in the field of Web security; the utilization of best in class advancements for insurance of system and system open assets from distinctive sorts of programming attacks; and working out compelling Web/data security answers for overall population, service associations and business ventures through thorough risk investigations and security administration approaches”.


This workshop was arranged in collaboration with the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO); the Inter Islamic Network on Information Technology (INIT); the COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT), Pakistan; and the Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC), Turkey.
