STAFF REPORT LHR: The telecom service sector has various responsibilities in


providing ICT solutions to various public and private sector organization for


smooth organizational workflow in different domains of business. The Technical


Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) has sought assistance from


telecom organization to promote technical education and vocational training


systems in different corners of Punjab.


The four member delegation of Ufone, the leading telecom operator of the country


visited TEVTA recently to discuss various avenues of cooperation. Chairman


TEVTA, Irfan Qaiser Shaikh while speaking to the delegation said, “The role of


ICT and telecom sector is appreciable in bringing time effective technological


solutions beyond imagination and TEVTA is pleased to urge assistance from


Ufone in providing technical trainings and services for tech education promotion in


the province to alleviate poverty through making the youth empowered in


technology field”.


The delegation affirmed to support TEVTA in providing technical trainings and


services and enumerated various contributions of Ufone in promotion of


technology literacy and social sector uplifting through their tailored solutions


making them a quintessential telecom company of Pakistan.


Through this cooperation the academia-industry void is also expected to fill and it


will also help TEVTA to update their curriculum through advice from Ufone


expertise.
