STAFF REPORT KHI: Management Sciences Department of Bahria University Karachi Campus has recently hosted a two-day National Conference on “Role of Private Sector in the Socio-Economic Development of Pakistan”.


The aim of the event was to highlight and acknowledge the role of private sector in the economic wellbeing of the people and country, explore new roles of private sector and developing meaningful relationship between private sector and academia.


In his remarks on the occasion, Tashfeen Niaz, Chairman Sindh Revenue Board, emphasized on educational institutions to embark upon the platform of research, academician and innovation in order to meet future challenges.


He expressed that private sector can play a pivotal role in the socio economic development of Pakistan.


Director General Bahria University Karachi campus Vice Admiral (Retd) Khalid Amin HI(M) welcomed the participants and thanked Higher Education Commission and other sponsors for their generous support.


In his welcome address he offered services of Bahria University for conducting research and finding the solution of the problems faced by the industry and by sharing such a rich corporate experience of researchers, it will be mutually beneficial for academia-industry collaboration.
