STAFF REPORTER ISB: The 38th convocation of the FAST National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences has recently been held in the city at the main campus where as many as 290 students of Bachelors and Masters.

Chief guest Dr Amir Muhammad, the rector of the university, congratulated graduates on achieving the landmark of their life and their parents on this memorable event of their lives.

He advised the graduates to be sincere to the country as it is facing very hard times and apprised the audience about the latest developments in the field of science and technology and the role played by these technologies in the growth and development of the country.

Director Karachi Campus Dr Zubair Shaikh informed the gathering that “Our graduates are serving in renowned organisations like Microsoft, Oracle IBM and other top notch companies, world over.

He added that more than 50 per cent of the employees hired from Pakistan serving in these institutions are FASTians.

In the M.S. Computer Science Programme Syed Ali Raza received gold medal and Farnaz Amin received silver. In MBA programme Samreen Tanwir received gold medal.
