STAFF REPORT MIRPUR: Dr Rehana Asghar of Mirpur University of Science and Technology Mirpur has been conferred with Tamgha-i-Imtiaz in recognition of her outstanding academic achievements and extraordinary research contribution in the field of botany/ biotechnology.

Dr Rehana has been serving as chairperson of the Department of Biotechnology at the MUST. She had served the University of Balochistan, Quetta, and Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi, before joining the MUST.

In AAU Rawalpindi, she served for 10 years. She did her MSc from the University of Balochistan by securing first position. She received PhD degree from the University of California. She did two post doctorates from the US. She produced 6 PhDs and 16 MPhils besides supervising research projects of several MSc students.
