Bosan said that after the gap of four years, the meeting was held with participation by representatives from all the four provinces, G-B and AJK. He said that the upcoming wheat crop is expected to be over the national target.
He said due to good crop, the country is expected to have surplus wheat this year. On the potato crop, he mentioned that the total production is expected to be over 2.7 million tons. He said that the total national consumption of potato is 1.7 million tons and the country will have one MT of surplus potato this year. He added that due to recent rains spell there is enough water for the Kharif season.
