STAFF REPORT LHR: A 2-day workshop on “Project Formulation” has recently been held at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore.


Pakistan Science Foundation Chairman Prof Dr Kkaleel Ahmad Ibupoto and Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha presided over the inaugural session of the workshop jointly organised by the Business Incubation Centre of the UVAS and Pakistan Science Foundation.


In his remarks at the occasion, Dr Khalil Ahmad explained the role of PSF in promotion of research and emphasized on researchers to communicate with the PSF officials and resource persons to get more information regarding fund-winning proposals.


The Vice-Chancellor urged the faculty members to learn how to draft standard research projects/proposals and win grants from the funding agencies.


Dr Mirza Habib Ali from the PSF explained the objectives of the workshop and the need for good proposals. Dr Arshad Hashmi and Dr Hafsa Zaneb also spoke on the occasion. Later, resource persons conducted various technical sessions and trained the participants how to draft grant-winning projects.


Nasir Mahmood Khokhar, Muhammad Israr and Asghar Ali Bhutto from the PSF and faculty members were also present on the occasion.
