STAFF REPORT LHR:  The Punjab government has established Punjab Agricultural and Meat Company (Pamco) in the province in order to ensure provision of quality and hygienic meat to the citizens at affordable rates.

Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said Punjab Agricultural and Meat Company (Pamco) has been established to ensure provision of quality and hygienic meat to the citizens at affordable rates. He stressed the need for “Early operationalisation of the institution has been directed in addition to directed the Outsource Committee to complete the work of outsourcing the contracts of Pamco by November 10 this year,” Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif while chairing a high-level meeting to review the matters relating to Pamco.

It is to be mentioned here that the Punjab government is taking effective steps for the betterment of livestock sector.

Purpose of the establishing the Pamco is to ensure provision of quality meat based on hygienic principles.

This meat will be supplied  to the citizens as well as earning precious foreign exchange for the country through its export.

The CM ordered launching of a vigorous and effective awareness campaign regarding the project of Pamco among the masses.
