STAFF REPORT LHR:  The Punjab University Institute of Education and Research has received the first installment of research grant for teachers resource capacity building under the USAID Teachers Education Project.

In this regard, a ceremony was held at Vice Chancellors Committee Room where USAID Regional Director Syed Nadeem Ahmed called on PU VC Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran. IER Director Prof Dr Mumtaz Akhtar, Dr Rafaqat Ali Akbar, Dr Abid Hussain Chaudhry and Ubaidullah also attended the meeting.

The meeting was informed that the Rs 1.5 million research project would also aim at finding out teachers beliefs and practices in ADBA donors programme.

Later, USAID Regional Director Syed Nadeem Ahmed presented a cheque of the first instalment to Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran.

In his remarks, the VC said that the grant would help in taking forward the teachers resource building which has become a vital instrument in grooming the students lot.
