STAFF REPORTIBD: In another landmark achievement, PTCL has been honoured by the US-based Environment Systems Research Institute (ESRI) with the “ESRI Special Achievement in GIS Awards 2012” for the outstanding achievements and organizational performance in geographic information systems (GIS) and programmes.

The award was presented at the annual ESRI Special Achievement in GIS Awards ceremony recently held at San Diego, California, United States, says a press release issued here.

PTCLs Executive Vice President (EVP) Operations and Maintenance, Mateen Malik and General Manager Access Network Roshan Awan received the award from chief guest ESRI President Jack Dangermond.

“This is yet another global recognition of PTCLs technological edge and prowess in innovative solution integrations,” said PTCL President and CEO, Walid Irshaid. “My heartiest congratulations go to all PTCL employees for their hard work and commitment, which continue to bring accolades for our company.”

“PTCLs GIS program stood out amongst more than 100,000 others worldwide programs for its outstanding use of GIS technology in the existing network,” said Founder and President ESRI, Jack Dangermond on the occasion.

“We have selected PTCL for this years award on the basis of its innovative applications of GIS technology in Pakistan.”
