STAFF REPORT LHR: The Government College University (GCU) Lahore Ravians Quiz Society has recently organised the GCU All Pakistan Inter-University Quiz Competition 2012, which was won by the Agriculture University Faisalabad (UAF).
As many as 37 universities from all over Pakistan took part in the quiz contest to win the title of “GCU Brain of Pakistan”.
The Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad secured the second position while the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore stood third.
Punjab Education Endowment Fund (PEEF) Vice Chairman and Old Ravian, Dr Amjad Saqib graced the final round of the quiz contest as the chief guest, while GCU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rehman was also present on the occasion.
Addressing the students, Dr Saqib said real essence of character building and shaping of ideas took place here at the portals of GCU.
He appreciated the participation of 37 universities in the contest and congratulated Ravians Quiz Society for gathering the geniuses of Pakistan at one platform.
Prof. Dr Khaleeq-ur-Rehman gave away prizes and shields to the winners of the contest.
