STAFF REPORT KHI: The 9th ITIF Asia Intl Exhibition, which has recently been concluded has positively pulled a major number of visitors besides the international response from the renowned firms and delegates from about 11 countries including Iran, Italy, Germany, Australia, Turkey, Canada, India and UAE.
During the 3-day event organized by the Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan, the International Conference on Alternative Energy and Power (ICAEP) with the theme of exploring market opportunities and adapting emerging technologies was also held.
The purpose of this workshop was to explore existing/potential role of ICTs in the sector. Potential audience included power sector decision makers/IT professionals, IT companies, academia, relevant ministries/departments, industry, trade associations and chambers of commerce.
ITIF Asia is Pakistan’s only trade and industry fair approved by UFI, the Global Association of Exhibition Industry, France.
CEO National ICT RandD Fund spoke about funding opportunities available for ICT RandD in Power and Alternative Energy sector. During the workshop on ICT in Power and Energy, Dr. Abbas, CEO National ICT RandD Fund, was the chief guest of the Workshop.
On the occasion, achievements, potential, funding opportunities, initiatives and implementations of ICT in power and energy sector were brought into limelight by the competent speakers.
