NED students organise robot design contest

STAFF REPORT KHI: Under the umbrella of SENTEC, NED University has recently organized a mega event with a unique theme “All Pakistan Robot Design Competition, Project Exhibition, Quiz Competition & Gaming Competition”. The event was attended by Professors, officials and students from all engineering universities and engineering institutes of Pakistan invited to participate actively and prove their technical skills and come up with great ideas to enhance the industry.
The main purpose of holding this mega event was to stimulate exploration in robotics and its related fields. This challenge brought together experts working on Robotics and offered a mutual atmosphere for the amalgamation of various mechanical and electronics designs, control and path planning algorithms and agent architectures.
Amazingly, the ROBO-SENTEC team brought a huge change and introduced a new era in the field of science. The Robots tried to find the optimum solution of most complex and un-solved problems of the universe in the field of computer science, “The NP-Compleate Problems”.
This year the competition was won by ULTRASPHNIX TEAM from Sir Syed University and U-MASK TEAM from the NED University of Engineering and Technology was awarded as runner-up team.
With the moto to promote the idea of young engineers, ROBO-ENTEC 2013 gave an industrial exposure to students. The whole event was magnificently organized and successfully captured the interest of the students, guests, sponsors and the media partners.
