STAFF REPORT ISB: Job Fair was held at College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (EandME), National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) in order to bridge academia-industry gap and provide opportunity to the graduates enabling them to directly interact with the industry thus opening up robust prospect of employment.


Speaking on the occasion, the Commandant NUST College of EandME, Brigadier Aftab Ahmad Khan Lughmani, expounded the imperatives of Open House for the students and industry both. Aftab commended the role of faculty in imparting up to date knowledge to students and bringing them at par to the industrial requirements.


Federal Minister, Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST), Rana Tanveer Hussain attended the event as chief guest. He vividly focused on strengthening the industry and academia relationship, for sustainable growth of SandT sector in the country He said that the country can only head towards self-sufficiency and can improve its economy if our entrepreneurs focus on engineering sector.


The event was attended by large number of graduates who interacted with industry and dropped their CVs. As many as 75 delegates from more than 35 companies participated in this event in various capacities; some of companies also conducted on spot tests and interviews.
