Accenture and Google launch their cloud data offering in Middle East

The global management and technology consulting firm has been working together with Google worldwide for over a decade in the business realm, mainly focused on Google’s enterprise resource planning suite, business apps such as Office 365, and cloud solutions.

In 2018, the two giants took their partnership to the next level with the launch of the Accenture-Google Cloud Business Group (AGBG).

This global practice focuses on helping organisations tap into the power of Google’s cloud solutions to enhance their technology infrastructure, drive business process efficiency, fuel innovation and unlock strategic insights through advanced data science. The group, which is led from the US, currently consist of over 10,000 Google certified professionals delivering services to clients in 50+ countries.

Accenture and Google are now expanding the offerings of the AGBG practice with a new proposition specifically geared at data science, including advanced techniques such as artificial intelligence, machine learning and even deep learning. Branded as the ‘Accenture-Google Cloud Data & AI’ (AGDA) initiative, this service will help “enterprises harness the power of data to transform customer experience, anticipate trends and accelerate business outcomes,” stated the firms.

The new offering has launched across several regions globally, including the Middle East. Commenting on the new service, Fabio Vacirca, senior managing director and market unit lead of among others the Middle East, said: “Artificial intelligence and machine learning-based insights have quickly become an important asset with increasing pressure on enterprises to be more responsive, customer-obsessed and market-relevant.”

“Cloud plays a fundamental role to harness the power of data science. We are dedicated to helping clients become cloud-first businesses and accelerate their digital transformation to realise greater value at speed and scale. Collaborating with Google Cloud, we help clients with AI-powered and cloud-based transformations.”

The offering comes at a time of stellar interest in artificial intelligence services and technology platforms, with the technology touted “one of the most disruptive technologies of the coming decade” by IDC.

Not surprisingly then, the research house expects enterprise spending on artificial intelligence platforms and applications to grow with a double-digit CAGR in the years up to 2025.

With multiple Google partner awards under its belt (13 in the past decade), Accenture is well positioned to help clients tap into the potential. The consultancy was recently named one of the world’s top AI Consultancies by Forrester, the number 1 Google Cloud AI Services provider by HFS Research, and a leading AI consultancy by Consultancy.org.
