Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series tipped to launch in early 2022 with Ultra model still in development; new Galaxy S21 colours incoming

According to a new report, Samsung does not plan on releasing the Galaxy Tab S8 series this year. Instead, the company is targeting 2022, and it supposedly has another product tier planned, too.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series tipped to launch in early 2022 with Ultra model still in development; new Galaxy S21 colours incoming

It has been a few months since information about the Galaxy Tab S8 series leaked, the follow-up to last year’s Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7 Plus. In May, prices and specifications for three models appeared, as we reported at the time. Now, a report on the Naver Blog has offered a few more details about Samsung’s new premium tablet series.

Apparently, Samsung still plans to release an Ultra model, rather than just a regular and Plus model as it did last year. Allegedly, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will have a 14.6-inch display, which would be almost as large as Microsoft’s 15-inch Surface Book tablets.

However, there will be no samsungTab S8 models this year. Typically, Samsung releases new premium tablets in July or August, but the company already has plenty of products in the pipeline, such as the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Watch 4 series. Instead, the Galaxy Tab S8 series will launch in early 2022, possibly leaving an 18-month gap from the Galaxy Tab S7 series.

Incidentally, the same report states that Samsung will release new Galaxy S21 series colours before and after next month’s Galaxy Unpacked event. The company may alter the storage and RAM configurations for these mid-cycle refreshes, too. Unfortunately, there are no details yet on what these colours are.
