Almost 70% of workforce in Pakistan is working either on blue collar or entry level jobs while all major job platforms including Rozee and Jobee are focused on white collar jobs exclusively. This leaves a huge gap in Pakistan’s job market where no platform caters to needs of blue collar and entry level workers and agencies take advantage by charging people commission for getting them job.

Asan Jobs is focused on bridging this gap by connecting employers and job seekers directly. By providing signup with phone number instead of conventional email and by connecting employers with job seekers directly on Call or WhatsApp, it aims to become defacto platform for hiring staff for home and office.

The process starts with downloading Android or iOS app, after which users can simply search jobs and filter on 25 different categories ranging from Tutors to Drivers and Labourers. Once job seeker has found the job which suits him, he can simply signup using phone number and then setup interview on Call or Whatsapp. There are no lengthy signup forms, no C.Vs and no checklists.

For employers, it simply starts with signup and ends with posting a job with minimal inputs and once the job has been approved, they can start getting calls or whatsapp messages from interested candidates.

Keeping in mind that blue collar workers usually don’t possess the knowledge and expertise to navigate apps, particular attention has been paid to simplicity of the interface and the flow. All steps are optional apart from name of candidate and if user chooses to provide additional details including education, work category and experience, the suggestions start to improve and he sees more and more relevant jobs.

Asan Jobs also provides a platform for job seekers to discuss opportunities and skills by joining groups. Users can post new jobs, ask for help and discuss how they can improve their skills.
