The Game Awards 2020 is taking place virtually like every other major event this year. It recently announced the full list of nominees, and voting is now open for every category. 

Here's a look at the nominees for The Game Awards 2020

The Game Awards 2020 is scheduled to take place on December 10.

The jury panel for The Game Awards 2020 features popular gaming-focused publications from different countries. This time there’s a jury from India which is Skoar, Digit’s gaming vertical.

It also includes publications such as IGN, Game Spot, PC Gamer, Protocol, The Verge and Wired. Voting is already live on The Game Awards website, and you can take part by creating an account on the site.

Ahead of The Game Awards 2020 event, we take a look at some of this year’s nominees.

The most popular and vetted category for the game of the year include Doom Eternal, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Ghost Of Tsushima, Hades, Animal Crossing: New Horizons and The Last Of Us Part II. Another popular category is the best mobile game which has viral titles Among Us and Genshin Impact.

Launched in 2018, Among Us revived this year as one of the pandemic winners. Genshin Impact which is hardly three months old has emerged as the most popular mobile game globally. The other nominees for the best mobile game include Call of Duty: Mobile, Legends of Runterra and Pokemon Cafe Mix.

Among Us has been nominated for the best multiplayer game as well, joining Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Call of Duty: Warzone, Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout and Valorant. More categories for The Game Awards 20 include best game direction, best narrative, best art direction, and best score and music.
