Actor and Scientologist Kirstie Alley declared on Twitter that she will be voting for President Donald Trump as she thinks that “he gets things done.”

As the day for the presidential elections gets nearer, more and more celebrities are picking sides. Now, actor and Scientologist Kirstie Alley declared on Twitter that she will be voting for President Donald Trump as she thinks that “he gets things done.”

“I’m voting for @realDonaldTrump because he’s NOT a politician. I voted for him 4 years ago for this reason and shall vote for him again for this reason. He gets things done quickly and he will turn the economy around quickly. There you have it folks there you have it,” the 69-year-old actor turned Scientologist tweeted on Saturday, October 17.

Born on January 12, 1951, Kirstie Louise Alley achieved recognition in 1982, when she played the character of Saavik in the science fiction film ‘Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan’. Alley played the role of Rebecca Howe on the NBC sitcom ‘Cheers’ (1987–1993), receiving an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe in 1991 for the role. From 1997–2000, she starred in the sitcom ‘Veronica’s Closet’, for which she earned an additional Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. Alley received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1995. In the ’90s, she appeared in several films, including ‘Summer School’ (1987), ‘Shoot to Kill’ (1988), ‘Look Who’s Talking’ (1989) and its two sequels (1990–1993), ‘Madhouse’ (1990), ‘Sibling Rivalry’ (1990), ‘Village of the Damned’ (1995), ‘It Takes Two’ (1995), ‘Deconstructing Harry’ (1997), ‘For Richer or Poorer’ (1997), and ‘Drop Dead Gorgeous’ (1999). She won her second Emmy Award in 1994 for the television film ‘David’s Mother’.

Alley who was raised as a Methodist became a member of the Church of Scientology in 1979. At the time she became a Scientologist, she admitted to having had a cocaine addiction and went through Narconon, a Scientology-affiliated drug treatment program, to end her drug dependency. She has continued her Scientology training and as of 2018, has attained the level of OT 8 (Operating Thetan Level 8). Calling herself a “Scientology Freedom Fighter,” she celebrated her “confront” with her fellow OT 8 graduates.

In May 2000, she purchased a 5,200 sq ft waterfront mansion from former Scientologist Lisa Marie Presley for $1.5 million. The house is in Clearwater, Florida, the spiritual headquarters of the Church of Scientology. Alley also made news in 2007, when she donated $5 million to the church.

According to a news report published in June 2020, the model and longtime Scientologist left the church because of its “dirty methods being used to control people.” Alley allegedly “just picked up and left” her home in Clearwater, Florida, where the Church of Scientology is headquartered, “without telling anyone exactly where she was headed.” However, this report was soon debunked by Gossip Cop.

As soon as her tweet about Trump came in limelight, people started reacting to it, as one Internet user made fun of her and wrote, “Kirstie is jumping from one cult to another!” to which another one replied saying, “I think she’s still in the other cult also. She doesn’t care that POC and the poor are disproportionately hurt by Trump’s ignorance and greed. She’s white and she’s rich. And that’s all she is.”

Another one accused her and questioned, “Another one who has to pay the orange Piper for their PPP loan?” Another one questioned her and said, “I am just curious, tell me again what are his plans for doing anything??? Just one thing, because I as of yet have gotten that part in his briefing, campaigns, or his interviews. He talks alot on what he is going to do, but nothing has any action so far in this whole year!”

Comedian Mike Birbiglia also replied to Alley’s tweet saying, “You mean turn around the economy that he himself sent into a nosedive by ignoring covid and lying to the American people that it wasn’t a threat so that 220k people died? Got it. I guess I don’t have as much confidence as you do in that “plan.” Another person sarcastically wrote, “You’re right, he’s a six-time bankrupt “business man,” who defrauded his own charity and duped people to buy bogus university classes, among other crimes. Perfect choice.”

Another one joked about her and wrote, “Is Kristie Alley trending because she gave her kids up to Scientology or QAnon?” while another one called it all weird and said, “PS mean Kirstie is dumb. What an idiot. Vote for a racist bc “he’s not a politician?” That must be some weird Scientology thinking.” Another one joked and wrote, “I’m just trying to get blocked by Kirstie Alley. So here it goes: Scientology to Trumpism – one cult to another!”

I’m just trying to get blocked by Kirstie Alley. So here it goes:

Scientology to Trumpism – one cult to another!
