QS World University Rankings for 2021 has enlisted seven Pakistani universities in its recently published report. Among the seven universities of Pakistan, the top-ranked position in the list is occupied by the Pakistani university the National University of Sciences And Technology (NUST) out of 1000 universities from all around the globe.

From the total of about 1000 universities in the list, NUST Islamabad stood at 355 while Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS) ranked 373 and Quaid-i-Azam University stood at 454.

Among the seven of Pakistani universities these are the only 3 Pakistani universities which could make it to the top 500 QS World University Rankings.

In the top 1000 world universities ranking 2021, COMSATS Islamabad, LUMS, UET Lahore, and University of Punjab are the remaining four universities.

The judgment was based on certain compact factors, attributes and indicators of the universities considered in the QS World University Rankings.

These elements include employer reputation, academic reputation, faculty to student ratio, international faculty, international students, and citations per faculty.

It is incredible that the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Stanford University, and Harvard University have occupied the top 3 spots for 2021 just like before in the last year’s rankings.
