Dr Javed Akram, Vice-chancellor of the University of Health Sciences Lahore, says four people are dying every hour in the country due to the coronavirus.
Talking to media in Lahore, Dr. Javed Akram, Vice Chancellor, University of Health Sciences, Lahore, said that the current situation of coronavirus in the country is dangerous and alarming.
Dr. Javed Akram, Vice Chancellor, University of Health Sciences, said that our goal is to save lives and make life normal.
He said that coronavirus causes war in the lungs, which makes it difficult to breathe. If 100 people have the virus, 30 do not even know it, they do not show any symptoms.
Dr. Javed said that they are testing antibodies for plasma, 5% out of 100 people will have to go to the hospital, they may even need a ventilator.
He said that ventilator is a double-edged sword but its harm is more, there is a danger of damage to lungs from ventilator.
The Vice Chancellor of the University of Health Sciences, Lahore, added that 99% of coronavirus patients in Pakistan are dying from ventilators.
Dr. Javed Akram also says that when a person dies, the entire ICU is upset. 65% of the medical staff are under pressure from their families not to work.
